The Digital Evolution of an Analog Classic

Building on the legacy of Yamaha's MG Series—already established as a global standard in mixing consoles—MGX digital mixing consoles deliver a perfect blend of flexibility, performance, and premium sound quality, excelling in a versatile range of live and installed sound, podcast/live streaming, music production, and recording applications.
In addition to the essential features and versatility you expect from a professional mixer, the MGX16V also integrates an HDMI-USB audio/video interface with capture and pass-through functionality. This enables users not only to mix and output audio in a variety of ways, but also to simultaneously capture video to a PC and record or stream it together with the audio.
For content creators, sound engineers, producers, as well as artists and streamers, the ability to seamlessly integrate high-definition video into their workflow opens up new creative possibilities in a wider range of environments. In any application that involves content with both audio and video, the MGX16V will elevate your production quality and captivate your audience.

Live Sound – Hybrid Live Setup

This setup enables simultaneous FOH sound reinforcement, livestreaming, and recording for small-scale band performances.
Audio from instruments, vocal microphones, a DJ mixer, and background music playback devices is fed into the MGX16V and routed to the venue’s FOH system and stage monitors.
The audio and HDMI video sources are consolidated into a USB-connected computer for real-time streaming, with the audio also recorded in Cubase. At the same time, a multitrack backup is captured to a microSD card inserted into the MGX.

Video Podcast with Four Speakers

This setup supports a four-person video podcast by integrating studio microphones, remote guests, playback sources, and video inputs into the MGX16V.

Audio from four MC microphones, remote participants, music or playback devices, and jingle cues triggered from the MGX sound pads is routed into the mixer and delivered to both studio and control-room monitoring.

HDMI video sources are combined through a video switcher and, together with the mixed audio, are sent to a computer via USB for recording and streaming in Wavelab Cast. At the same time, a multitrack backup recording is captured to the MGX's microSD card.
